Description:
Campfire Wood is a big black 15.1 - 1200 lbs. by Drifts Chip out of an old Gay Bar King mare. He has been our ranch stud for the past 12 years. Broke and roped on until he was 6 then put out to stud. He has been pasture breeding and knows his job. Quiet and gentle, easy to catch and handle. Breeds his mares and stays in excellent shape. 100% sound with no blemishes. He makes really nice offspring. The mares are excellent brood mares and the geldings are big and stout. We have a new stud horse and have kept all of his daughters. Nice colts to start, great ranch and arena horses. A black yearling was a top seller at The Shelman Family Ranch Horse Sale in 2025. He will be able to go with mares for another five years or so. He stays in good shape and does not show his age.
