Elmer is your “do all” horse. We don’t know too much about where he came from before us, but we do know he was raised in New Mexico. He knows his stuff. You can pretty much do anything with him. We have used him for ranch work of all kinds. You can rope anything off him, sort cattle, load cattle, trail ride, literally anything. We’ve done some fence work with him and he loved it. He is very broke. Neck reins the whole 9 yards. Nothing phases him. He been used to pony colts up and sack out colts. I ride English and he will ride around great for me too. He’s got plenty of pep for his age. He’d be a pretty good teacher for a intermediate rider to learn on. He loads in a trailer like a champ, stands for farrier, meets you at the gate, easy keeper, stands tied, etc. He was shod in the last 3 weeks. Utd on vaccinations and wormer. He’s currently being used on a yearling outfit. We just have too many horses at the moment and need him off the feed bill, but we will miss him
