Description:
This is a vintage handmade bit made by Buermann Manufacturing Co. August Buermann is listed in Bit and Spur Makers in the Texas Tradition by Ned and Jody Martin and Kurt House. The bit is not maker marked. This bit is shown in the Buermann catalog no. 35 as style No. 3217. The bit is steel and is mounted with a nickel silver heart. It is not bent, broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to add to a collection or could still be used today.

Measurements: Mouth Piece (between cheeks) a little less than 5”, Cheek Pieces 5 ˝”, Port Height (measured from top of port to bottom of bars) 1 ⅞”, Bars Diameter at widest ˝” and taper down to ⅜”, Bit Weight 9.1 ounces
