Description:
This is a very lightly used (if used at all) handmade solid shank curb bit made by Texas bit and spur maker Biggs Bird of Fort Worth, Texas. It is marked Biggs handmade inside one cheek piece and 95 2015 inside the other cheek piece. Biggs has been building since 1994 and learned from his grandfather well known bit and spur maker RA Glenn. Biggs is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles and Spurs by Gretchen and Mike Graham. The bit is steel and is mounted with nickel silver. The flowers have copper centers. This would be a good bit to use or to add to a collection.

Measurements: Mouth Piece (measured between cheek pieces) 5 ¼”, Cheek Pieces (measured straight across from the end to end of each ring) 6 ⅞”, Port Height (measured from top of port to bottom of bars) a little less than 1 ¾”, Mouth Bars Diameter ½”, Bit Weight 15.7 ounces
