Description:
This is a new handmade tooled slide ear ¾” headstall with a handmade buckle. The headstall is made out of skirting leather with beveled and hand rubbed edges. It is lined with alligator leather and stitched around the outside edges. The headstall is 1” and tapers to ¾” at the buckle strap. The bit ends are tapered to ¾” and the bit attaches with latigo tie strings. It was made by Jeremiah Miller from Lubbock, Texas. He is a cowboy and horseman and knows how to build gear that works. It is maker marked with his stamp. It has a new buckle made by long time bit and spur maker Don Rogers of Hereford, Texas. Don has been building since 1975 and his work is sought after by cowboys and collectors alike. Don is listed in Bits and Spurs, Motifs, Techniques and Modern Makers by Ned and Jody Martin. The back of the buckle is marked Rogers. The buckle is steel with a dark gray finish and is mounted with engraved nickel and brass. The buckle is attached to the headstall with latigo lace leather.

Measurements: Headstall Length 38 ½” to 43”, Buckle Strap Width ¾”, Crown Strap Width 1”, Leather Thickness a little over ¼”, Leather Weight of both Layers 15/16 ounce
