Description:
This is used handmade solid shank curb bit maker marked HD. We are unfamiliar with this maker but it is a well-made bit. The bit is steel and the cheeks are mounted with engraved nickel silver circles. The bead above and below the circle is sterling silver. There is a wheat stalk engraved in the steel above and below the circle. There are copper inlaid stripes on the mouth piece. The bit is not bent, broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to use.

Measurements: Cheek Pieces 8 ¼”, Mouth (between cheeks) a hair less than 5”, Bars Diameter ½”, Port Height 2”, Bit Weight 15.3 ounces
