Description:
This is a lightly used handmade bit made by Sam Jenkins. Sam is a well-known bit and spur maker from Texico, New Mexico. Sam is listed in Old Cowboy Saddles and Spurs by Gretchen & Mike Graham. It is marked Sam inside one cheek piece and numbered 199 inside the other. The cheek pieces are steel and were originally mounted with initials that were removed. It is not bent, broken, or repaired. This would be a nice bit to use or to add to a collection.

Measurements: Mouth (between cheeks) 5 ¼”, Cheek Pieces (excluding rein rings) 6 ½”, Bars Diameter at widest ¾”, Bit Weight 11.5 ounces
