Description:
This is a nice handmade trophy leather rope bag made for the Wyoming Chapter of the ACTRA (American Cowboy Team Roping Association). It was awarded to the 1998 Spring Fling Shoot Out Champion. The bag was made by Jones Leather located in Turlock, California. The rope bag is skirting leather with a light weight vegetable tanned gusset. One side of the bag is basket stamped with a floral carved outside pocket with a flap that snaps shut. The three piece buckle set is marked Alpaca. It has a plate with the maker’s mark above the buckle. The other side of the bag is floral carved and has an engraved trophy plate and decorative plates mounted with simulated stones in the center of the flowers. There some scuffs from use and the protective coating on the plates and buckles has flaked off in spots. This is a well-made bag that could be used or added to a collection.

Measurements: Outside Diameter – 20 ⅛”, Gusset – 6 ¾”, Outside Pocket Dimensions – approximately 8” x 8”, Outside Pocket Gusset – 3 ¼”
