He is the definition of a been there, done that kind of horse. If you’re looking for a seasoned, versatile gelding with a real handle, plenty of cattle experience and the ability to make a rope horse, take a look at Kid. He has an excellent handle, moves willingly off your leg, rides one handed, and is soft and responsive. He travels with plenty of athleticism and has the mind, ability, and motor you’d expect from his Peptoboonsmal breeding. Kid has a big stop and would make an outstanding heel horse prospect. With his size and strength, he has the potential to be a very nice head horse as well. This gelding has had a real job and knows what a day’s work is. He has extensive experience working cattle in both ranch and feedlot settings and has sorted, gathered, shipped and pulled sick cattle. From high-country trails to city riding, Kid has been exposed to traffic, bicycles, wildlife, dogs, livestock, UTVs, tractors and plenty of commotion. He is a gentleman on the ground, extremely friendly and easy to be around. He is easy to catch… usually coming to meet you at the gate. He lives comfortably in the pasture with other horses, gets along well in a herd and tends to stay toward the lower end of the pecking order. He has been stalled at rodeos and was very well behaved. If another horse is on stall rest, Kid is chosen to be their stall buddy. He has been healthy and sound with no known issues and does not require any special maintenance. He is an easy keeper and currently stays in great condition on grass and Bluebonnet Omega Force. Current negative coggins, regular dental care and consistent farrier visits every six weeks.
