Registered AQHA as Suie Lena #6201157 – June 10, 2022 sorrel mare – papers pictured. She has earnings in team sorting, I’ve roped on her at brandings, doctored yearlings outside, and have her lightly started on the heel side. I have also use her as a pack/ride horse in the mountains. The biggest deal on her is her disposition. She’s packed me and our 1-year-old boy multiple times and has never offered to spook or buck. Gritty little mare, 14.3 and weighing right at 1,000 lbs. Wears a 000 shoe all the way around. On Papers – Bred To Be A Good One: Top side is all Gunner / reining and cowhorse royalty. Her sire is DONT STOP SHOOTIN – 2007 AQHA/APHA stallion, NRHA money-earner. He’s a full brother to GUNS R FOR SHOOTIN ($114,124: split 4th NRHA Open Derby) and half-brother to PEPPY NICOLENA. He’s by the great COLONELS SMOKING GUN “Gunner” – $177,386 lifetime, NRHA Hall of Fame, NRHA Open Futurity Reserve Champion & APHA World Champion. Gunner is the #1 All-Time Leading Sire of Reining Money-Earners, sire of 902 money-earners, $15,123,113 and now over $16.3 Million. Her paternal granddam is CHELSEA LENA (by SMART PEPPY DOC). Chelsea Lena is $3,782 and 60 AQHA points: AQHA Reserve World Champion Amateur Reining Horse, Open & Amateur ROM. The sale catalogs list her progeny earnings at $300,000 plus. Her sire SMART PEPPY DOC is a full brother to NCHA Triple Crown winner and Hall of Famer Smart Little Lena. Bottom side is SUIES STELLA by HARTFORD BARS – old foundation ranch breeding (Stellar Feller, Mad N Sue, Majels Pobre). So she’s got the reining horse earnings on top and ranch horse bottom – perfect cross for a family / ranch / rope horse that can still go to town and win. She would make a great prospect for many different routes! Family horse, ranch horse, performance horse, you name it! She does toe out a little on her fronts, she has a slight droopy lip, and I am currently doctoring her for a case of scratches she got from a pack trip this summer(she is almost all cleared up).
