Rita stands at 15.2 hands of muscle and absolute beauty. You can’t go wrong with a mare that’s bred to do whatever you want and has probably already done it. Rita is a Youth/Adult/Competitor Deluxe. Never mare-ish, gets along with everyone. We have owned her since she was a yearling. So we believe we know her inside and out. Rita is a great head horse. Quiet and steady in the box. Quick to the steer, has great rate. Pulls like a train and faces snappy. She has also been used by the littles in the steer stopping. That means she will wait and go at turtle speed if needed. Rita is one heck of a pole and barrel horse. This mare is gritty! But always walks in flat footed and out. She runs in a Jr. cow horse bit. She’s made money at the rodeos, jackpots, and paydays. She’s also been shown at the 4-H fair. A few other things she has done in her 6 years of life- rode in parades -been a flag horse at rodeos-been in the mountains -been to CowCamp -trail ridden down roads and over bridges -won several buckles in roping, speed, and ranch classes. Things I think she would excel in with minimal time- Packing, breakaway roping, and or mounted shooting. Rita is always easy to teach. I truthfully think there is nothing this horse can’t do- and do it well. Another check is she is easy to catch, sturdy, and 100% SOUND! She is up to date on all vaccines, wormings, dental, and farrier.
