Description:
My name is Carson and I am vigilantly in search of an entry level Ranch and/or Farm Hand position in the following areas: Northern/NE CO, Southern/SE WY, Southwestern NE.



My background is primarily in farming. I have been an agronomist for the past 6 years since graduating with an ag degree from the University of Wyoming in 2021. However, I am very interested in exploring and making a career in the ranching/livestock side of agriculture.



Ideally I am looking for a position with an outfit that both runs cattle and farms, however, I am completely fine with an outfit that either only runs cattle or only farms, as well.



With my lack of expertise/experience in the livestock industry, I am looking to work somewhere where the foreman/manager is willing to teach me the basics of running cattle, such as doctoring, calving, as well as about the different types of operations like cow-calf, yearling, feedlot etc.



I do have experience roping and riding horseback as I have worked as a wrangler the past 4 months at a Dude Ranch. Really I just want to work someplace that will be patient with me and willing to help me learn and grow in this industry.



I’ve worked in agriculture my entire career, so I’m no stranger to hard work and long days out in all weather conditions. I’ve been told im very teachable, willing to accept constructive criticism, and am all around a hard working, good hand. Given the chance I’m confident I can help out the right outfit immensely and lighten the workload. Preferrably I’d like to have the option for housing included. I have no pets. I have my own saddle and tack, but do not have my own horse as of yet.
