Description:
Ike’s Magic Trick is a registered AQHA gelding standing a solid 16 hh, built right, and bred to work. He’s the kind of gelding that’s seen the miles, done the jobs, and is ready to step into a competitive program. Experience: Ranch work — cattle, wild bulls, loose horses, and all the tough jobs. Pick‑up horse experience — confident, steady, and powerful. Roping experience — has tracked, sorted, and handled rope work with ease. 4‑H two‑handed program — great foundation and exposure for a young horse. Trail riding — loves it, sure‑footed, and forward. Lightly started on barrels — handled noise, kids, and commotion like a champ. He’s smart, tries hard, and wants a job. The more you put into him, the more he gives back. This gelding is built for speed and athleticism. With his ranch background, roping exposure, and natural movement, he’d make a standout high school or college rodeo horse. Point him toward barrels, breakaway, ranch versatility, or pick‑up work — he’s ready to go in any direction.

Vices: This powerful, athletic horse is best suited for a confident intermediate or advanced rider with a calm, patient approach. He’s head‑shy on the ground, meaning he prefers a gentle touch around his ears and responds best when handled slowly and thoughtfully. He can be a bit jumpy if approached too quickly, so we typically loop his lead rope when tied or let him stand ground‑tied — both methods keep him relaxed and comfortable. Once you’re in the saddle, he’s solid, dependable, and ready to work. Blemishes: Ike is low man on the totem pole and has some scars to show it. They are all superficial mark mainly bites. Willing to send pictures or video chat. I would consider his coat a summer black that has lightened slightly in the sun. Will hold for up to ten days at no charge. Willing to assist in transportation including hauling up to 150 miles at no charge.
