Description:
We have owned Jinx since he was a 6yo. He is a grade gelding. He has been an excellent horse in every arena. He has packed many miles in the mountains, carried meat, rode in the mountains, camps well, easy keeper, highlines and hobbles, he has done EVERY SINGLE 4-H event/show (ranch horse classes, reining, boxing, ranch pleasure, trail classes, horsemanship, halter classes (grand champ overall gelding 3yrs in a row) including hunter/jumper with our daughter at the wheel, he has been in tons of youth rodeos, including the Cody Nite Rodeo in barrels, breakaway and heeling, many many parades, he hauls like a champ, easy to shoe, excellent manners, he is used on the ranch for gathering, doctoring, sorting, and branding. He would really excel as a ranch horse for someone with some experience or a Jr high/ high school rodeo horse for a handy kid or a show home. Jinx is not for a beginner as he is very responsive to leg and seat cues. He is a forward mover and that can make someone timid pretty uneasy. An intermediate rider would do well with him as a step up horse as long as they are willing to learn and have some help figuring it out. He does fine stalled or on pasture. He has been a joy to own and bring along but our daughter has young projects and it isn’t fair to see him sit on the back burner. We have cattle and anyone who would like to try him is welcome to come rope on him or sort or anything. We have many photos and videos upon request. We are happy to facetime with someone not local to see him and also have options for shipping if needed. Welcome to assist with a PPE at buyers expense to any vet in our general area.
