Ellwood is a 15.2 hand Percheron Quarter cross gelding that we purchased from his breeder and started him ourselves. Ellwood is the true definition of a puppy dog, from the moment we started Ellwood his demeanor has been simply “gentle” never no foolishness and always has been a pleasure to be around, Ellwood runs to you in the field and truly enjoys his people! Ellwood will walk, jog and lope circles, he picks up his leads and is starting to turn around correctly, Ellwood slides to a stop on whoa and is very soft and correct. We’ve rode Ellwood a lot outside, he crosses and climbs anything asked of him and we have doctored a few weanlings on him as well. Stands to be tacked, mounted, loads leads ties with ease. Ellwood is very user friendly and would make an exceptional personal horse or a dude mount.
