Description:
Family-owned farm and ranch operation in south east Kansas seeking a dependable ranch hand. We run a 300-400 cow/calf herd, a small feedlot to background for our meat company.



Responsibilities include:



• Daily cattle care for cow/calf and feedlot operations



. Haying and some planting



• Operating of tractors, vertical mixer and other machinery



• Doctoring, tagging and identifying sick cattle



• Fence building, repair, and general upkeep



• General property and facility maintenance as needed



• Equipment maintenance and some minor repairs



What We’re Looking For:



• A reliable person who understands animal behavior and welfare



• Someone who takes initiative and can problem-solve



• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn



• Long-term mindset and hard work ethic



Housing is supplied

Compensation is based upon experience
