Jane is a great youth all-around mare who has truly taken care of her riders and is a joy to own. She is solid in breakaway roping, switch-end team roping, barrels (3-4D), poles (23-35 seconds depending on rider), and is also excellent on the trails (husband safe!). Jane is a forward mover, she is gorgeous bridled up! She can practice for literal hours roping, head, heel, breakaway…she is great in rodeo. That said she does not like the open in the back boxes typically only at jackpots. Rodeos are never an issue but I don’t think she loves to jackpot, she’s great with one daughter and tests the younger one. She is easy to haul, stall, pen, clip, and bathe, and an easy keeper. Very sweet, kind mare. Our daughters have moved up and she’s too good to sit. Jane does have grass and pollen allergies, which are well managed with Hydroxyzine and Apoquel and being fed alfalfa. She is comfortable and happy with routine management she gets Adequan once or twice a year but has not needed injections even after preventative checks. This mare is ready to take care of another rodeoerr and would be a great fit for a youth or family looking for a safe, experienced partner.
