Petie is a versatile registered Walkaloosa gelding who would be an excellent addition to any farm or ranch. Raised on our family farm, Petie has acquired extensive mountain trail experience and is confident and sure-footed on all kinds of terrain. He is a seasoned trail horse who successfully completed the renowned Chief Joseph Trail Ride, demonstrating his stamina and reliability on long mountain treks. In addition to his trail and mountain experience, Petie has practical ranch training as well. He has been used in cattle round-ups, where he proved steady and dependable working around livestock. Petie has also participated in community parades and public events, standing calmly amid the noise and commotion. His demeanor in busy environments is proud and elegant making him a standout in the parade ring. Petie’s temperament is safe and level-headed, making him a trustworthy partner. He does not buck or rear under saddle. Although Petie can become a bit prancy and spirited when he’s eager to move, this energy only adds to his character. He remains well-controlled with an intermediate rider at the reins and offers a smooth, pleasant ride, always trying to please his rider.He is easy to handle on the ground as well. Petie loads easily and trailers quietly, making trips to trail rides or events stress-free. He stands patiently during routine care and is very cooperative with the farrier. Overall, Petie is an excellent horse for an intermediate rider who enjoys a variety of activities such as trail riding, ranch work, or parades. He is equally at home on long mountain trails, working cattle on the ranch, or proudly marching in parade lineups. Petie is ready to continue his career as a reliable, versatile mount and will reward a dedicated rider with years of enjoyment. Flashy, Fast and Trusty.
