About Us: McKinney Land & Cattle is a leading cow/calf commercial seedstock operation specializing in high-quality beef cattle, breeding, and management. We are committed to excellence in livestock care and innovative practices to enhance our herd’s productivity and better the industry.



Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cattle ranching and a strong work ethic. This individual will assist with various tasks related to the care and management of our cow/calf and female development operation.



Key Responsibilities:



-Daily management of cattle, including feeding, watering, processing, and monitoring health.

-Calving operations, including tagging and assisting with births.

-Implement health protocols, including vaccinations and treatments as directed.

-Maintain fences, facilities, and equipment to ensure a clean and productive working environment.

-Operate ranch machinery and equipment safely and effectively.

-Management of breeding activities and record-keeping. Including, use of management software.

-Perform routine maintenance around the ranch as needed.



Qualifications:



-Previous experience at cattle ranch/farm.

-Ability to operate machinery, including tractors and loaders.

-Ability to ride a horse proficiently and use them for cattle handling.

-Physically fit and able to perform manual labor in various weather conditions.

-Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

-Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

-Basic knowledge of computer and Ipad use.
