Sniper was started in barrels by Michelle Lucke and in the roping pen by Shane Bessette. Sniper then went to Texas competing both in barrel racing and heading and was doing great things. Sniper is now a rope horse when not in the breeding barn. He does get maintenance injections. As far as being a stallion, he is really easy to be around. He has been collected, live cover and pasture breeding. He cools, freezes and ships well. Sniper’s first foal crop hit the ground in 2019 and his oldest foals started competing in 2024. People that get a Sniper baby come back for more. Sniper sells with his frozen semen (arrangements made after the sale, and shipped at the buyer’s expense. New owner needs to honor the provided rebreeds and new 2026 contracts. Sniper’s semen counts are really good, and seller will provide his numbers to interested parties prior to sale, as well as will provide buyer with any requested vet notes/records. Sniper is sired by leading barrel horse sire Dash Ta Fame, who produced progeny with earnings of over $36 million. He had a speed index of 113 winning $290,812 on the track. Sniper’s dam, Lickity Flit Fuel is the dam of barrel racing and mounted shooting money earners. She was an own daughter of Oklahoma Fuel, who had a speed index of 108 earnings $11,228. His progeny have earnings of over $2.4 million on the track, and in barrel racing and roping, including at the NFR. He is one of only a few horses to run AAA/AAAT on all 7 AQHA track distances. He sired 21 foal crops with 201 starters, 94 winners, 3 stakes winners, 4 superior race awards, 98 ROMs, 80 2yr old ROMs. He sired Yeller Fuel (SI-102 $104,431), Jet Switch ($45,275), and the following horses with over $25K in winnings each: Oklahoma Hanka, Dynamite Fuel, Ole White Lightning, Native Fuel and Bells Fuel. He also sired Oklahoma Top Hat, who was a 4X PRCA head horse of the year (1991, 1992, 1993, 1997). Oklahoma Fuel was sired by Jet Fuel, who had a speed index of 95 earning $4,441 on the track.
