He’s built like a tank, has an eye-catching coat, and pairs his impressive frame with a kind, eager-to-please attitude that makes him a barn favorite. Ransom has been started in both English and Western tack and is already proving to be a versatile, level-headed ride. He has plenty of trail experience and has confidently handled wildlife, bikes, strollers, bridges, traffic, water crossings, and general chaos with zero concern. He’s never offered to buck, bolt, or rear, and handles new situations like a seasoned pro. In the arena, Ransom has a strong foundation and continues to improve every ride. He’s got a steady walk, jog, and lope, is working on crossover and neck reining, and has the start of flying lead changes. He opens gates, carries a rope, and is already showing the balance and responsiveness to become a reliable all-around partner in or out of the arena. He’s also been exposed to plenty of obstacles and pressure. Ransom has had a rope thrown off him, confidently carries a flag, walks over tarps, and interacts calmly around other horses. His steady mind and willing nature make him a great candidate for a variety of disciplines — whether you’re headed down the trail, to a ranch versatility clinic, or just want a dependable mount to do a little bit of everything.
