Gathered and sorted cattle in rough county, and some of the highest, most rugged mountain terrain. He handles every job with confidence, whether you’re roping in the branding pen, covering country hunting, packing game, or out for a trail ride. As a seasoned mountain horse, he crosses water, logs, and bridges without hesitation. He rides out alone or with others and has packed an inexperienced rider on 10 day pack trips into the Thorofare of Yellowstone Park with zero issues. Gentle and safe, whether you ride him every day or once a year, he’s always the same. Easy to shoe, will stand quiet all day while tied, loads and hauls great. You can saddle him up for a days work or hop on bareback with only a halter. Easy keeper. Sound, never lame or sick in the 6 years we’ve owned him.
