Leon is kind, gentle, and safe for the entire family, whether you want to go gather cattle, trail ride or go hit the arena, he’s guaranteed to get whatever task is asked of him done safely and correctly. Leon is our go to horse for lessons, beginners needing a trail mount, and even ranch pleasure shows! Leon will walk, jog, trot, lope, pivot, always catches his correct leads and is soft in his face and sides. Don’t have a bridle? Plan to spend all your savings on Leon and can’t afford a saddle either? Don’t worry! Leon rides bridless and bareback as well. If you’re the kind of person that doesn’t enjoy carrying a bucket or a laso to catch your steed, you’re in luck! Leon runs to you in the field and will lower his head to put his halter on. Leon stands like a solid citizen to tack, bridle, groom, farrier, and vet work. Although he may be large, he will tote the littlest of kiddos around, and keep them safe no matter the job they are asking of him. We’ve used Leon to carry the flag at rodeos in the grand entries, we pony lots of colts off him, and here as of recently a young gal has been penning back cattle at the stockyards multiple times a week with him. Out on the trails, there’s not a hill to steep or a creek to deep, Leon will go wherever he is asked, and is always sure footed. Whether you’re a full time cowboy, or a part time city folk who enjoys having a horse, Leon is sure to fit your program. Leon stays broke, and saddles up the same with time off.
