Description:
My name is Justin McGowan. I’m 28 years old. My fiancee, Sarah, and I are looking to relocate to where we could settle and start a family. Currently in the NW part of Kansas managing a feedyard and cow/calf operation. Experience varies from calving heifers to backgrounding high risk bawlers. Although not looking for "couples work", Sarahs extremely hard working and can be a great asset. Works full time as a Special Ed teacher while also running a small business making wool saddle pads and cinches. Shes good with horses and dogs. She can pull a calf/run most equipment/weld and run power tools better than most men I know. We take pride in our work and in the knowledge we continue to acquire. We are hoping to find an outfit that shares similar values such as hard work, discipline and the commitment to keeping the tradition of cowboying alive. Sarah and I are looking to stay primarily in the southwest but are open to options.



Skills/experience:

-Ability to work alone/with a team

-Knowledge of cattle health/doctoring/meds

-Calving heifers / backgrounding/ feedlot

-Wheat pasture / yearling health

-Proficient with a rope

-Build/maintain fencing/some welding

-Run & maintain equipment

-Record & book keeping

-Work ethic

-Horsemanship

-Some experience starting colts/ riding young horses

Clean housing/ honest and prideful employer/ beef/ work truck and trailer/ feed for horses/ pet friendly/ health insurance
