Description:
We received Copper in trade in March 2025. She had been started riding and had a lot of good things going for her, but also had some gaps needing attention. Her basic personality was gentle and submissive, yet she lacked respect and softness.



We re-started her with groundwork and rides in the round pen. She’s responding much better to yielding her head, neck and quarters. She is also doing better with her feet; we removed her shoes and got her trimmed. Her feet are all black and hard.



Copper needs someone with training experience to keep her coming at this time. She can be amazingly calm and responsive, yet still has potential to get uptight and reactive when being tied, separated from other horses, and while being ridden.



Copper has potential as a riding mare; she stands and saddles calmly with no tendency to bite or kick. Though she’s without papers we did allow her to cross paths with our Poco-bred AQHA stallion back in mid-April 2025. She’s just 4, and 14.3h.



She’s trimmed, wormed, and vaccinated. Delivery, coggins, and pregnancy-testing could all be arranged.
