Description:
Josie will make a great pony for an experienced bigger kid/small adult. She is very athletic and quick—hence our reason for selling. She is too much for our green rider grandson. She was started and trained by a gal who went through the UM Western horsemanship class and has all the foundation work done. She is 13 hands and according to her trainer, and shown in her video, she lets you pick up all four feet, stands quietly for saddling, baths, fly spray, etc., loads and unloads easily, and doesn’t have any mare or pony attitude. Josie is calm out on trails…just point and go. She doesn’t mind being alone, mud, water crossings, critters, or cars. And she can walk fast enough to keep up with the big horses! In the arena she lopes nice circles, has a nice extended trot, easy jog, side passes both directions, can open and close gates, will stop and back up, and is getting the hang of neck reining and riding one-handed. She has a scar on her left front shoulder and in the cinch area under her belly. Neither affect her at all.
