I am currently staying near Corpus Christi and willing to relocate, I am currently looking for employment on a ranch. I am hoping to find a job on a ranch or within the livestock industry utilizing my unique combination of experience and skills. With five years of experience on a cow/calf background operation that also specialized in Targhee sheep and AQHA performance horses I developed a strong passion for the livestock industry. I am eager to contribute my unique combination of experience and skills in administration, marketing, and hands-on livestock work to your operation. I am a Canadian citizen that holds an American permanent residence card. In February of 2024 I graduated from the Visual college of art and design with a diploma in graphic design. While pursuing my graphic design diploma, I discovered my strengths lay in: - web design, advertisement, package design, publication design and western branding. After completing my studies, I launched my Etsy business Brooke Coughlin Art, a digital western christian art digital print and print-on-demand company, in December 2024. With great attention to detail, a passion for history and the pen ink art style, the two illustrations combined took 230 hrs using a stippling effect. - brookecoughlinart.etsy.com Prior to graduation I worked on The Kessler Ranch, a commercial cow/calf-backgrounding operation in northeast South Dakota for five years. The ranch also specialized in AQHA horses and Targhee Sheep. - During my time on the ranch, I successfully established and primarily managed the sheep operation which grew to 80 ewes within the three years of me being there full time. A highlight of managing this operation was creating a ram ad which would have a buyer from out of state. - For school I would help The Kessler Ranch with marketing material for their annual AQHA weanling production sale. -Working alongside three other individuals, I gained extensive experience and knowledge in various aspects of ranch work, from feeding, calving cows and AI’d heifers to processing cattle and operating equipment and many other duties associated with being on a cow calf background operation. While I have been involved in many aspects of ranch operations, I am eager and passionate to continue learning and refining my skills in the livestock industry. As I worked with three individuals although I have with hopes to improve my: - horsemanship, roping and animal husbandry skills. I hold a Business Management degree from the University of British Columbia with a focus in marketing. Prior to my time on the ranch, I worked as a Project Administrator for Bay Tank and Vessel, an upstream oil and gas company specializing in steel storage tank construction. My responsibilities included: - Payroll, accounts payable, project logistics, data entry, forecasting, union dues management, office safety programs, expense system implementation, project estimation, and marketing development. - In the new year I was working with BTV to manage and implement a new website and marketing program though it was never implemented due to the company’s closure. I am eager to find a role that allows me to utilize my skills in any of the following or a combination of administration, marketing, and hands-on livestock work.
