He is by Mamas Duel N At Boon which of course is a well-known AQHA world champion sired by Dual Rey, Lucky’s dam is Carmalena Cat that has a LTE of 25k+ in the NCHA and she is an own daughter of High Brow Cat. Just take a look at his papers. He’s bred in the purple top and bottom. He has the pedigree and the foundation to go be something, but he can also just be a horse that sits in your stall and gets used once in a while that you can be proud of. Lucky got his name because we felt so very lucky to just be a part of this dude’s story. Trevor has done all the work on him and he’s done such an excellent job. Lucky has a long resume- He has worked cattle on a big cow calf operation in the big rough country of Colorado. He has tied off and doctored bulls that doubled him in weight. He’s the first horse we think of to pull out of the stall when we want to ride one that’s good and safe, if someone with not much experience wants to hop on- he’s the mount. He has taken dudes out on trail rides in Southern Arizona, he rides bareback very well. He’s been rode comfortably in just about every bit you can think of, also handles a hackamore, bosal or bit nicely. He has a one hand neck rein, is extremely broke off of your foot and seat. He lopes beautiful correct circles, has a nice level head set with a great stop. He backs up just as well as he can go forward. Will side pass to open and shut gates. Lucky has been in ranch horse competitions, he’s done local shows and you couldn’t ask for a cooler ranch versatility prospect. He’s been started lightly on the heel side and shows a ton of natural rate and promise to be a heelers next big thing. Lucky is good for the farrier, he wears a size 0 all the way around and packs sliders in the back currently. He has nice hard feet and gets around barefoot just fine if that’s what you prefer. He stands well to be bathed, braided, blanketed, saddled, booted, etc. He knows how to handle a stall or a pasture with others. He’s 100% sound, straight legged and correct.
