Description:
Amazing All-Around Draft Cross gelding. Joe is a HUGE, extremely well broke and gentle gelding that would be suitable for any level of rider. He is 16 years old, stands over 16 hands tall, and is built like a tank. He is not super-fast but is very athletic, especially for his size. Joe had a solid ranching foundation and even spent some time as a pickup horse before becoming a 4-H and gaming horse for 2 teenage girls. The young ladies outgrew him and I was looking for the perfect step-up horse for my novice husband. We bought Joe 2 years ago shortly after moving to Oregon and buying a farm. Now, realizing how little time he would have for riding, my husband has made the tough decision to sell Joe to a good home that will actually use him. This horse is the kind every family is looking for. Any person that wants to have a safe, easy ride no matter the job, location or weather conditions, this is the horse for you. Absolutely finished in or out of the arena. Trail horse Deluxe and can carry even the heaviest of riders. Gentle enough to put little kids on but handy enough for a day rider needing to get work done. Lots of fence checking, moving cows, a couple barrel races and local 4-H shows are what we have done with him this year. We even had a 9-year-old jump ride him at a barrel race in the pee wee division, and she won third place money. I also took him to a Halloween themed 4-H show in October and he won first place in 2 adult open classes, and we took second place in the costume contest. Tons of videos to show how amazing he is. We are very proud to offer this gelding, and we’d be happy to answer any questions or make any additional videos for potential buyers. Sound and requires no maintenance. Small blemish in left eye that doesn’t bother him, and he’s a VERY easy keeper. Make sure to watch the videos or come try him out If you’re in the area. You will not be disappointed. Willing to hold until the end of the year at no charge and willing to deliver up to 150 miles.
