Description:
Memphis as we call him is an 11yr old John Mule that stands right at 14.3½ hands and is solid built. Memphis is and absolute barn favorite around here with his gentle laid back attitude. Memphis is well trained to ride, he neck reins, side passes and has a smooth walk trot canter. Memphis collects up and lopes off from a standstill. He rides in the arena or out on the trails with no fuss. Memphis rides out by himself or in a group and will ride the same every time he is saddled whether its everyday or once a month. Memphis has been used on a ranch roping and doctoring cattle so he knows what a day’s work is like. Memphis was used to drag hundreds of calves to the fire for branding. If you don’t want to day work on Memphis, he is also a soldier on the trails. He will drop his head in place and stroll on for hours. Memphis was also used in the pack string and for hunting up in the mountains. We have also ridden him down the main highway into town and even ridden him through the local hardware store. Memphis does not easily get rattled and nothing seems to faze him. We have exposed him to bouncy balls, flapping tarps and all kinds of obstacles and he takes it like it is everyday life. We have used Memphis for all kinds of jobs and errands here on the farm. Memphis loves attention and you can pull and mess with his ears and pick up all his feet and he don’t give any trouble. My 3yr old son can get him out of his stall and lead him around the barnyard and Memphis enjoys every bit of it. Memphis will spin both ways and is super broke but still quite enough for almost anyone to get along with. Memphis stands for the farrier and to be bathed and clipped and also to be tacked and mounted. I could brag on and on about Memphis feel free to call me with any questions.
