Description:
Captain is a very nice gelding that stands 15.1 hands tall and weighs 1,200lbs. He is a big boned, square made, full footed gelding that wears a #1 shoe. He’s a sorrel with roan hairs through his flanks and above his tail. He is an absolute all around gelding that has been ridden in the mountains, used for all phases of ranch work, and will lope around the arena. He side passes, pivots nicely on the slacks, and is easy to ride. I’ve worked cattle on him, roped cattle off him, and opened and shut gates on him. He was trained to cut a cow and it shows when you work cattle on the ranch. He is the Captain of ranch and will do any job asked of him. He stands for the farrier, bathes, loads, ties, and has great ground manners. You can ride him bridleless or bareback. He crosses water, logs, ditches, thick brush, and bridges.
