KQH FROSTED OAK STAR, “Trapper,” is an extra big, eye-catching gentle gelding.

We purchased him at the Nile horse sale in Billings as a weanling because of his nice disposition and good looks. He was started as a 2-year-old with approximately 25 rides then spent the winter growing. Trapper was pulled out this spring and went to work moving cows in the foothills of the front. He has been ponied with a saddle, and has extensive groundwork, and is being ridden regularly. Currently has about 50 rides. Trapper is extremely laid back and has more whoa than go. He has a nice slow lope and trot and stops easily. We feel he would be a great up and down the trail horse. We took him on a poker ride last fall and all the horses and activities didn’t faze him a bit. He’s content to walk along and is not buddy or barn sour in any way. He easily loads in a trailer, crosses water, and goes through brush. He stands quietly for grooming, fly spray and saddling, and is good to shoe. Stands tied. There isn’t much that bothers him. AQHA paperwork, brand inspection and Coggins in order. We will board him for 10 days after the sale for free, if you are picking up. $20/day starting on day 11. He must be picked up by day 20. We can deliver within 150 miles. LOCATION: Wolf Creek, MT.
