Description:
Fabio is exactly what every horse family needs. Well broke, solid made, honest and gentle gelding. He is soft in the face, moves nicely off your leg and always keeps his riders in their seat. Broke enough for even the handiest cowboy to get a day’s work done; and easy enough to ride for any level of horse person. Fabio stands 15.2hh and is a titled BLM mustang. I got him wild and unhandled in the fall of 2019 as a 3-year-old and put him under saddle in the summer of 2020. He’d done a little bit of everything since then, from trail riding in Hell’s canyon to spraying noxious weeds under contract for the county in the backwoods and CRP ground. He’s given lessons to my 5-year-old nephews and been the “first ride on a horse” for many adults. Fabio is no stranger to a full day’s work and will go all day, stand all day or play all day. He spent the last year and a half on small cattle ranch my husband and I purchased and he shows natural cow sense. He has only been used to push pairs between pastures and throw a rope at the dummy a few times but I know he would make a phenomenal ranch rope horse with consistency (and more roping knowledge than I have). I also started hauling him around to the arenas with my barrel horse this year and he has ran a couple time only/exhibitions. Loves the pattern and is extremely push style with quick turns. He’s not a super-fast horse, but would easily land in the 3-4D. Sliding stop and knows a basic 4-h show pattern. He would be a dynamite youth or novice rodeo horse. 110% Sound and Sane. He’s never taken a lame step and has amazing feet. Super finished trail horse. He rides out great alone or in any size group. Front, back or in the middle. He does walk extremely fast and doesn’t mind leaving others in the dust. Stands perfect for the farrier, loads into anything and loves water! He’s truly a gem and only for sale because we don’t use him. It’s only my husband and myself on the ranch and we don’t have time for everyone. We will happily hold Fabio for 15 days after the sale ends at no charge and we will deliver up to 200 miles free of charge.
