Description:
Family-owned and operated ranch near Clayton, New Mexico is seeking a long-term employee for our preconditioning feedyard where we feed both personal and customer cattle. We also farm our personal circles as well as operate a custom farming/haying business.



This is not a cowboy position, it is mainly a feedlot/farm position. This is also not an absentee owner situation. Will be working alongside owner.



Duties include:

- Identifying and doctoring sick cattle

- Mixing and feeding a ration

- Processing calves

- Planting, disking, swathing, baling, and raking

- Equipment maintenance

- Pivot maintenance

- Electric fence construction and maintenance

- Helping with branding and weaning

- Tagging calves

- Fence repair

- Moving cattle on horseback and/or UTV



Must be able to show up on time ready to work. Must be self-motivated, honest, and willing to take direction. Ability to communicate is key. Welding experience is a plus.



- Pay dependent on experience, plus beef

- Ranch vehicle to use for work

- 1.5 bedroom house available on-site

- Immediate start
