Job Description:



Centerfire Feedyard is actively looking for a pen rider to join our team in Ulysses, Kansas. Join the industry leader and apply today!







Job Responsibilities:



Receiving and checking in cattle (weighing cattle and getting a head count off of the truck

Placement of cattle in pens

Checking and caring for the health of cattle

Processing cattle

Maintenance and repair of facilities

Sorting and shipping of cattle

Must be able to ride a horse and work on foot





Qualifications:



Provide a driver’s license

Education - High school, GED or equivalent (Preferred, but not required)

Complete a satisfactory pre-employment background screening and drug test





Work Environment:



Physical requirements include: standing, walking, lifting, bending, kneeling, shoveling, working equipment, and handling livestock

Work Environment: Considerable exposure to weather such as: rain, sleet, snow, hail, heat, cold, wind, dust, and daily close proximity to livestock
