Description:
General Manager (GM) needed in North-Central Montana. The ranch runs 800 head of bison on native range and irrigated pasture. Along with the agriculture operation, the ranch has a significant wildlife and recreation component with a strong conservation ethic. The GM is responsible for the oversight of all aspects of the ranch.

The GM is responsible for overall care of the bison which includes herd health, grazing schedule, marketing, culling, and the breeding program. Needs to develop grazing programs that will be beneficial for the bison, rangeland, and wildlife. The GM is also responsible for the grounds, infrastructure, and ranch equipment.

Successful candidate must have experience working with a team, good written and oral communication skills, and be a self-motivated individual. Must have a working knowledge of: bison, flood irrigation, maintaining buildings and grounds, construction, horses, hospitality, managing large properties in similar climates, employee supervision, and financial skills related to a working operation.
