Description:
Mia Cattin Rio is a 2006 AQHA registered mare standing at 14.3 hands tall. . She is sired by Cattin who is an own son of Smart Little Lena and grandson to Doc’s Lynx and she is out of a granddaughter to Mr San Peppy and Doc Tari on her bottom side. Rio is a trained cutter and an extremely versatile all around cow-horse and ranch and rope horse. She is a gentle mare with an outstanding handle and is fun to ride. Her handle is fancy and correct but she is the type that absolutely anyone can ride because you can turn her on and off. She will ride slow and low headed or she can really turn it on and get fancy.

Rio is an extremely versatile cowhorse. She will sit in front of one and cut, you can take her into the herd and sort or hold a gate and sort, and she will run one down and box or fence it. She is as cowy as they come and is always willing to do anything asked of her. She would excel to show in the sorting pen, SHOT classes, or ranch riding and ranch versatility classes.

We have also used Rio to day work and for all aspects of ranch work. You can rope cattle in the pasture, doctor cattle, pull and load into the trailer, and makes sweeps to gather. She rides as great outside as she does in the arena and will do any job you ask of her.

We have started roping the hot heels on her and she has taken to it with ease. She will make a jam up heel, breakaway, or calf horse. She has been in the box and does great. She can take the pressure and does not get hot.

If you are in search of a nice horse with a great handle that can do a job and has a lot of cow don’t miss out on this girl. She is a nice mare with a good attitude. She is not marish or quirky in any way and is the same horse every time you step on her.
