Description:
Honor Song “Buddha” is an 8yr old, 16.2h, chestnut gelding that has solid APHA papers with well known thoroughbred breeding on the top side. Buddha is an in your pocket type of gelding that is the biggest sweetheart. The only reason this horse is for sale is because I am going to college and cannot take him with me.

On the top side of his papers, his sire won $70k on the track. Buddha’s grand sire won $490,000 on the track and his grand dam won $10k on the track. On the bottom side, Buddha’s breeding is a lot of halter and performance paints from what I’ve been able to find.

Buddha has wonderful ground manners, easy to saddle and bridle, stands for you to get on, good with his ears, and has never once offered to buck even with over a month off. He walks off calmly and lopes nice easy circles.

On the pattern, he needs lots of slow work and to get his mind right again so he gets back to liking the pattern. His previous owners did nothing but run him which made him no longer like being on the pattern and he began to pick up bad habits on the pattern. I personally have done slow work on the pattern with and he is fine with that. Supposedly he begins to blow past the first barrel on the back side and doesn’t want to go to the second. I have not asked him to lope the pattern or go any faster than a trot because my plan was to fix him but that’s no longer an option. With his breeding, mindset, and pure athletic ability I have zero doubt someone will be able to get him to be in the 1/2D. He just needs some time and lots of slow work.
