Description:
LOWRY JRS HARLAN JOE, or "Harley" is a good looking roan gelding that is well broke and has a great disposition. He has excellent ground manners, is easy to catch, and is a pleasure to be around and ride. Absolutely no bad habits or vices. Excellent ridden outside on trails in all types of situations. He was born and raised in Wyoming and used on the ranch and in Elk camp and ridden by a 70 year old man. He’s been here in Arizona for the last 2 years and team roped on some and ridden outside in the desert and mountain terrain. He is a nice horse and hasn’t been traded around. I’ve ridden him in the city, he is not scared of traffic or anything I’ve encountered. He is sure footed in rocks and rough terrain; up and down hills, and walked right in the river without hesitation.



Harley also rides great in the arena, sidepasses, picks up both leads and lopes nice circles. He rides between the reins and has a good neck rein. Very gentle horse, laid back and easy going on trails. He has been roped on some and and will pep up and get a bigger motor when it’s time to do a job. One of the things I like best about Harley is he does not freshen up and stays the same even if he’s only ridden a few times a month. I’ve never had to round pen or lunge him, he is not cinchy and he’s never offered to buck. This is a really nice gelding that in my opinion is happiest and best suited as a pleasure / trail horse.

Harley likes people and gets along excellent if he’s turned out with other horses. Not a mean bone in his body. Excellent ground manners and great to be around. He has clean legs, good feet and is sound and healthy. This is a great horse that has never done one thing wrong. I really enjoy riding him, both in the arena and outside on trails of all kind. He’s one you’ll feel safe on.
