Description:
Needing a family ranch horse? you need to come ride Sonny! Exceptionally gentle, laid back, has never BUCKED OR HUMPED HIS BACK, even after all winter off. Good walk, big over-reach, is smooth in every gate, & a soft smooth lope. One hand neck reins, backs, side passes, stops, & yields to leg pressure, Crosses water, opens gates..; His strongest asset is his gentle laid back deposition, If you call him from the house he will come in from pasture & be at the barn waiting for you. Good feet, a wavy main & that beautiful deep red color make him a stand out..

Sonny has worked cattle in the corral, taken pairs to pasture & paired them up. He has ridden a lot of pasture this summer. He has been kept in nights & used to gather the horses in out of a section of rough Sandhills He does not get hot while gathering horses. We have an 11 year old neighbor boy that is learning to ride this summer that has been riding him. He’s ridden him moving pairs, & recreational riding. Sonny is pulling & starting to track the hot heals., Sonny rides equally as well in a hackamore or a light snaffle. He was bred by our next door neighbor, we know & have worked with these bloodlines both top & bottom. 15.2 hh,Good saddle back, sound, healthy & no bad habits.
