Description:
Progressive, expanding yearling operation located between Dallas, TX and Durant, OK seeks long term full time employee. Duties generally include checking, feeding, vaccinating, treating, tagging, branding and working cattle, etc.; operating tractor, skid steer, cattle feeder and other equipment to feed cattle, mow hay, drill winter pasture, spray weeds, fertilize, clear brush, etc. Job involves management-intensive rotational grazing and includes extensive maintenance, use and construction of electric fence. Criminal background check, references, valid driver’s license and prior relevant experience or education required. Compensation and benefits based on skills and experience. Job can remain simply an employee position or begin as or develop into a ranch manager position. Position will involve interaction with owner, part time employees and interacting with Noble Research Institute, Texas Agri-Life, NRCS, FSA, GLCI, vendor and customer personnel. Proficiency in the use of management software such as Excel, Quicken, QuickBooks or other ranch/cattle management software would be a big plus but not required.
