Description:
Seeking a motivated individual or couple for Feedlot Cowboy/Operator position to become an asset to feedlot operations for a livestock marketing company. Our main business is livestock marketing and we further serve our customers through our cattle feeding facility. We specialize in weaning young calves and starting them on feed. We do cow work as much as we can on horseback but from time to time need to work on foot as well.

Job includes all responsibilities and long hours of a working ranch and feedlot. Including but not limited to:

Feeding cattle, riding pens, identifying sick cattle, starting colts, roping & doctoring, processing, sorting, record keeping, shipping & receiving, cattle inspection, post-mortems, calving, heat detecting, operating & maintaining machinery, maintaining facilities, irrigating, fixing fence (barb wire, wood and steel), welding, receiving commodities, scheduling feed, reading bunks, calling feed.

Reports to feedlot manager and head cattle buyer.



Ideal Applicant Must be...

-Very detail oriented and like to keep things clean.

-Able to work well with teams and work alone.

-A self-starter and be observant of needs of cattle.

-Able to read cattle, whether for handling or feeding.

-Feedlot Experience preferred but not required, we would rather have the right person with less experience.

Full-time work available for one person and some part-time available for a spouse. Housing provided and we are only 25 miles from Billings so there is opportunity for a spouse to work nearby as well.
