Description:
Melody is a flashy buckskin mare, the type to turn heads everywhere you take her. She is losing her winter coat and getting dapples all over, and has four black feet and no white other than the star on her pretty head. She is the perfect size at 14.3hh, stout enough for a man to ride but easy to get on and off of. Melody is 12 years old, sound and extremely gentle and has never offered to buck, rear, bite, kick or take off. She is good minded and willing, with excellent ground manners and a very sweet personality. She is not mare-ish and can be turned out with both mares and geldings with zero drama. She has been used on the ranch for all phases of ranch work, has been ridden out on miles and miles of trails at different state parks and ranches, has done some drill team and has been ridden in parades. She is strong to the horn and is not scared or spooked easily. Melody will willingly do anything you ask of her. She is athletic and responsive, rides quietly on a loose rein, and is the same horse every time you ride her. She is best suited for an advanced beginner on up, as she is responsive and well broke and has some go if you ask her for it. Melody sells as grade. She is a pleasure to ride out in the pasture, crosses water with no problem, and will go up, over or through anything you point her at. She has a good handle and stop, will move out when asked, and is good on both leads. Melody can be ridden by herself or with other horses, will happily lead or follow, and doesn’t mind being separated from the group. She has also been ridden alongside the road and in traffic and isn’t bothered by it.
