Working cattle ranch preferred but may consider guest ranch position. A management position with seasonal work and income is also a possibility. We could also put together a lease proposal for the right situation. The right situation is more important than salary at this time. Both my wife and I were raised on larger cattle ranches. I have experience in business management, overseeing ranch production and experience in all phases of ranch work. The diversity of my experience includes construction management, human resource management, leadership training, lots of committee work, some media relations, speaking engagements, counseling, volunteer work and community involvement. Much of my experience includes working with people in different settings including managing employees, event planning and negotiating contracts. I also like to teach and have no problem training people. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Ag Business and also have a Master’s Degree. We attend continuing education many times a year and have a great network of some very intelligent business people. Ranch experience and skills include:, enterprise evaluation, profitability analysis, grazing management, soil health, mapping, low-stress cattle handling, horsemanship (training both horses and riders), A-I, budgeting, financials and I keep records in order to adequately report on all of these things. Basic ranch experience includes fencing, flood irrigating, haying, calving, roping, doctoring, design and building shop projects, light mechanic work and ability to diagnose most mechanical problems. I also have quite a bit of experience in construction. For construction projects I know how to research, plan and oversee construction projects. I have also seen enough of these projects to be able to not overlook items and therefore budget correctly. Wyoming is preferred but will give consideration to the right situation in another location.
