2011 AQHA Buckskin Gelding, Dooleysdriftincowboy “Drifter”. You will search far and wide to find a gelding of this caliber, with his color and conformation. Drifter is a big, solid, sooty buckskin. He wears a size one shoe and stands 15.3. We started this gelding as a three year old, he is incredibly talented and never offered to buck. Drifter has done all aspects of ranch work; roping and doctoring cattle outside, sorting in an alley, working cattle through the chute. He’s been used at head and heel brandings, big gathers in rough country, heavying out, night calving, working gates, this gelding has literally done it all! Drifter will cross any water or bog that’s in front of him. He has spent time in the feedlot as well as the arena, and has been used at ranch rodeos. He is ready to go on and make a big time head horse. Drifter has a one hand neck rein, is soft and supple in the body, and knows how to handle himself. This has been Cole’s personal riding horse for the last few years. He has been tested in every way possible and always passes with flying colors.
