This is a neat little dude! Any age or level or rider child or adult can ride him and have a blast. Roper does all the playday events and is a finished heel and breakaway pony. He is very gentle and adjusts to his rider. If a child is nervous he takes care and rides slow and easy but will pick up for a confident child. Roper has a good handle he neck reins and has a great stop. He is no speed demon on the playday events or on cattle but he is perfect for kids to learn to track and rope cattle and do the events at a speed they feel comfortable while building confidence without having to worry about a ’hot’ horse. On fast fresh cattle like what you see in his video that he roped he may be a little late to the corner but he will stretch out and get there and do his job. He is automatic and knows to stop when you deliver and he can drag it! Roper has not been ridden just in the arena. He rides well outside too. Trail rides, gathering cattle, riding down the road he has done it all. He’s the kind you can throw your kids on and send on their way to do anything under the sun and know he is alright.
