Description:
We are a 900 head commercial cow-calf operation located 90 miles from the nearest Walmart. We are looking for a young man who is passionate about learning traditional horseback ranching on a progressive family oriented ranch. We are looking for an individual who is self motivated, honest reliable and hard working.

Must have a strong desire to cowboy, some horseback experience is required but mostly just a good attitude and willingness to learn. Must have your own saddle and shoeing tools. Please include resume with references.

Typically April through November involves 4 to 5 days a week moving cows horseback and the other 1-2 days a week involve fixing fence, shoeing horses, and the other odds and ends of ranch work. Winter days include a variety of work including 1 to 2 days horseback, feeding, chopping ice, cutting posts, chopping brush and catching up on odd jobs.

Immediate opening but flexible start date. There is no insurance or benefits, salary is DOE. Housing and beef provided. Possibly bring 1-2 horses. Good herding dog is encouraged but must live outside, kennel provided, and we will feed them.

We work 6 days a week with Sundays off. No drugs or alcohol.
