Description:
Charlie is a super cute Paint gelding that is absolutely gentle for anyone to ride. He was formerly a ranch gelding and has even done a little roping. He is a friendly horse, easy to catch and dog gentle to be around on the ground. Excellent ground manners, ties, stands quietly for absolutely anything you’d like to do. Easy to tack up and groom, bathe, good for the farrier. Very easy to get along with and is great with other horses. This is a kind horse without a mean bone in his body.

Take a look at Charlie’s video. The parachute, ball, T-Rex dinosaur was filmed his very first day here with no prior desensitizing. He has ridden this quiet in every situation I have put him in. He is not spooky and is very laid back. I feel he is best suited as a pleasure trail horse. He is push style horse and is fairly lazy in the arena to lope circles on. He’d rather go slow than fast, and has never acted energetic not even when he was fresh. He does walk out on trails at a decent pace and will keep up fine in a group. I have ridden Charlie in all kinds of situations, from urban heavy city traffic to rural mountain, desert rocky terrain. He will go anywhere you point him. Well broke, neck rein or direct reins, goes out alone on trails, and is also great in groups.

I have spent 4 months evaluating Charlie, reason being is he is cinchy if he is not ridden on a regular basis. If you let him get fresh, you need to lunge him around a few circles for a minute, then re-tighten his cinch. This is not to get out excess energy, but to get his feet moving and get him use to the cinch. No round pen is needed, no lunge line is needed; this can be done on the end of a bridle rein. If you are interested in Charlie, please call me and I can explain in better detail. This is a really nice gentle gelding, just needs someone to cinch him slow and move him around for a minute.
