MV SKIPA TIGER - (River) is a 9 yo Reg. AQHA Grey Mare.

Stands : 15.1 hh Weighs: #1200lbs



River is the go to girl when it comes to being the cattle and trail horse. She is extremely kind and loves her job. You can let this mare sit for months and get on her and it’s the same horse. No funny business. She is very gentle and willing. You may mis-represent her as a gelding because of her sweet nature. Even when she is in season.



She gets along with other horses well, along with dogs, cats, goat, cattle , and chickens. She spent 6 months in the mountains of Steamboat Colorado on a big cattle operation last spring/summer being finished as an go - all day ranch horse. Riding miles of fence line, checking cattle, gathering pairs, dragging calves for branding, opening gates and all other aspects of a working ranch.



Along with being a great Trail horse, River is an excellent Trail horse. She will Pack, Pony other horses and pack horses, also be ponied herself. She is very tolerant of misbehaving horses and ponies as well. Will stand tied for hours and ties well on a highline.



This mare has been started in sorting competitions and she is doing excellent; really a good , quiet beginner sorting horse. She needs to be finished in her roll backs and quick leg ques, but she handles well and softly.



This mare will ride in an O-ring snaffle or Bosal. Stands quiet for saddling and easy to saddle and mount and dismount. Easy to catch , Load and haul. Stand quiet for the farrier. Well behaved mare. She bathes and clips with ease as well.



She would make an excellent barrel or rope horse prospect as she is quick and smart to learn. She has a an awesome amount of speed along with a great woah. Doesn’t get hot and is an easy keeper. She is fed grass hay only.



She has had 2 colts, one with previous owner and one with current owner. She goes barefoot and kept trimmed regularly so she doesn’t chip.
