Gentle for Lady or youth, so smooth to ride, he is cowy & quick on his feet. catch him up after time off and he rides of just as broke. I bought Scrapper as a yearling, broke him @ 2.5 yrs old. The 5th time he was saddled I had him in a fall calving lot on lst. calf heifers. By the time I’d rode him 5 times pairing out I knew he was a pretty nice colt. I turned him out for the winter with 20 rides. I brought him in the next spring and he saddled up and rode off He was the only horse I rode nights that spring calving 160 heifers.We didn’t use motored vehicles in the calving lots. He drug a lot of calf sleds to the barn and penned a lot of heifers that spring AS a 4 yr. old he was in my string taking care of 1,000 yearl;’’ing in the river breaks south of the Grand River in S.D. We had a buller problem, and he pulled a lot of steers to save their lives that summer. He can run, and can hold a critter in any terrain.
